From Inquiry Through Discovery
My group initially developed a PICOT question that did not have many research articles that coincided with our topic. After reviewing the available research, we decided to change our question to one that had more articles available. We ran into a few challenges, including finding articles that followed the guidelines of “good research”. We were struggling to find articles that were peer reviewed and included a purpose. To solve this, I began refining the search by selecting the “peer reviewed” box and including “purpose” in the search area. We were able to find some good quality articles that pertained to our topic and that would be great to include in our final paper. My team communicated a lot about the challenges we faced, and we were able to solve them together. We collaborated to create our newest PICOT question and reviewed each other’s articles to ensure they were a good fit for our question.
