Disseminating our findings on proper oral care habits for patients, especially those with tracheostomies, was very educational and informative. While there weren’t any responses to our presentation at the time of writing this, I feel that this education has adjusted the way some nurses perform oral care on patients. I gained a lot of knowledge from this team project about what it means to collaborate, contribute to quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. My team had five members, which could lead to conflict and mismanagement due to a larger group. Fortunately, my group did not experience this.
